The Cochrane Classic hockey game is hitting a significant milestone and is ready to score big for the Cochrane Food Bank.

Bow Valley High School and Cochrane High are going toe-to-toe for the 20th annual event on Wednesday, March 22 at 4:15 p.m. at the SLS Centre in totem 1.

“We really just to get the community together,” says Madi Tolton with the BVHS  grade 11 leadership team. “Everyone is invited and all that we ask for is just a $2 donation at the door to our Cochrane Activettes to help out the food bank.”

The leadership teams of both schools have been actively involved in organizing the upcoming event which last year raised over $4,375.

“Everyone is welcome to just come down and check out the two high school teams and just really see the spirit that goes on in Cochrane.”

Bow Valley and Cochrane High have a legendary rivalry which adds to the excitement and drama of the Cochrane Classic

“I remember last year we had a Bow Valley side and a Cochrane High side and everyone was cheering against each other and although we do have a rivalry, a lot of us are so close friends so I think that it's great to just see the two schools really mixing together."
