Attempted murder suspects Malik Holloway, 21, and Stephawn Hunter, 23, have both reserved pleas at their first court appearance on Aug. 27.

Both face a number of charges in relation to an Aug. 4 attack that saw a 33-year old man in the Stoney Nakoda Nation hospitalized with serious injuries. He was later released from the hospital and is reported to be recovering from the injuries.

The RCMP issued a warrant for the arrest of Holloway on attempted murder a few days after the attack. He was located and taken into custody on Aug. 16. The following day, Hunter was also arrested.

In addition to attempted murder, Hunter is charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, aggravated assault and robbery.

The suspects remain in custody. Their next court appearance is Sept. 10.

With the case now before the courts, no further information is being released on the circumstances by the RCMP.
