Cochrane's Tyrel Bauer was named the first star in the second game of the WHL Championship series yesterday.
Oil King Luke Prokop scored a pair of goals as part of a four-point night as his Edmonton Oil Kings evened up the 2022 WHL Championship Series at a game apiece with a 5-4 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds.
After a scoreless first period, the Oil Kings went up 4-2 in the second.
Just 2:50 in the third, the Thunderbirds had tied the game at four.
Brendan Kuny scored the game-winner for the Oil Kings at 8:46.
The series now shifts to Kent, WA for Games 3 and 4, beginning tomorrow.
Seattle won the opening game 2-1 on June 3. Bauer set up the winning goal with a shot from the point that was tipped in by Connor Roulette. It was the first loss on home ice in the 2022 playoffs for the Oil Kings.
