The Cochrane Chaos must win this weekend to keep their hopes alive of successfully defending its AJFHL championship.

The junior club lost the first two of the best-of-five series in a pair of close games over the weekend in Edmonton's Castledowns Rec Centre against the Edmonton Wolves.

Game One came down to overtime when the Chaos came from behind in the third to tie the game 3-3. Wolf Natalie Buttle scored the winner from Brenna Reid at 9:16 in extra time.

With the Wolves ahead 2-1 with less than five minutes remaining, the Chaos opted to pull their goalie in an attempt to tie the score. The Wolves put in two empty-netters, finishing with a 4-1 win.

The Chaos are hoping to rebound with potentially a pair of home games over the weekend. The puck drops at 5 p.m. in Totem One on Mar. 16. If necessary, Game Four goes on Mar. 17 at 2:30 p.m.

Should the Chaos succeed in their comeback, the series returns to Edmonton for Game Five on Mar. 24.
