This morning (Sat. Oct. 19) at 9 a.m., the Cobras face the Springbank Phoenix, their archrivals in the Rocky View league, on the Ranger Field to see who will advance to the finals.

Before the quarterfinals, the Cobras came out of their three-team pool in second with a 1-1 record. They lost to Holy Trinity, 5-3, before shutting out Strathmore, 9-0.

The Phoenix, who finished one game ahead of the Cobras in Rocky View regular season play, earned a bye into the semifinals. They haven't yet been scored on in the tournament, with a solid 9-0 win against Canmore and 6-0 tally over Foothills.

Cobras head coach Carolyn Mcleod is expecting a close game. She says the two teams are evenly matched and have a similar style of play.

Holy Trinity earned the other bye and play Foothills in the other semifinal.
