The Cochrane RCMP has laid charges stemming from a drug trafficking investigation.

On February 3, 2022, Cochrane RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and discovered what they believe to be cocaine. 

According to a release, Clinton Loukes (30), of Cochrane, has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

After a Judicial Interim Release hearing, Loukes has been released and he is scheduled to appear in Cochrane Provincial Court on March 8, 2022.

As this matter is now before the courts, no further details regarding this incident will be provided.
