Do you have any concerns about crime in the area?

The Cochrane RCMP wants to know and is holding a Community Town Hall on Apr. 13.

The RCMP is inviting all interested people to a Community Town Hall Meeting on Apr. 13 in the Aspen Room of the Cochrane RancheHouse. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

"They'll be some mingling and then a Q&A open period for the public to ask their questions," says.Cst. Bonnie Sauve, media relations officer.

Detachment commander Inspector Dave Brunner will introduce the evening, and the staff sergeant and sergeant will also be present.

The detachment has been looking forward to holding the town hall for some time, but it hasn't been possible with COVID restrictions.

Being able to have those conversations in person is much more rewarding and informative than opting for a virtual meeting.

"Face-to-face with the public has been challenging the last couple of years, so this is an opportunity to do that now and hear what the public has to say about their concerns within Cochrane and the surrounding community."
