The town is actively seeking Cochranites to join various boards, commissions, and committees.

There are currently fourteen open positions for members of the public-at-large on these council committees. Cochrane residents are encouraged to participate, bringing their unique perspectives, ideas, and skills to work alongside council members and administration on crucial matters affecting the community.

Among the available positions are:

-Four positions with the Parks and Recreation Committee

-Three positions with Family & Community Support (FCSS) Advisory Board

-One position with the Cochrane Planning Commission (CPC)

-Three positions with the Subdivision & Development Appeal Board 

-Three positions with the Library Board

“Embrace the spirit of openness, fairness and the desire to make a difference in your community – we invite all those with these qualities to join us as volunteers on a Council committee," says Jaylene Knight, Director of Legislative and Administrative Services, Town of Cochrane. "Being a part of a board, committee, or commission is an excellent opportunity to offer guidance and insights to enhance the well-being of our residents and the vitality of our community."

Applications are due by Friday, Oct. 27.
