Canada's relay luge team finished outside of the medals this morning at the Beijing Olympics.

Fast starts and clean runs lead Canada's luge relay team to a sixth-place finish, 1.829 seconds behind the winning German luge team that completed their gold medal sweep.

Canada's Trinity Ellis, Reid Watts, and its doubles team of Cochrane's Justin Snith and Tristan Walker clocked a time of 3:05.235

Germany came from behind to beat the Austrian team by 8/100th of a second. Latvia won bronze.

Canada's relay team won silver at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

Yesterday, Cochrane's Tristan Walker and doubles partner Justin Snith set a new start record but finished seventh in men's doubles.

It definitely wasn't the result they hoped for. The pair lost control, costing them a spot on the podium.

The Canadian Lugers clocked in a time of 1:57.918, while Germany took both the gold and silver and Austria brought home a bronze.

Their appearance in Beijing wraps up their Olympic career. Walker and Snith previously finished fifth (2018), fourth (2014), and 15th (2010).
