A motor vehicle incident on Christmas Eve morning has left two men facing charges.

Both Cochrane and Airdrie RCMP responded to a collision between a truck and SUV at Bearspaw Road and Burma Road when multiple calls came in that a female who slowed to assist the motorists was trying to be pulled from her vehicle by two men from the truck.

Thankfully, the female managed to drive away and the two men were seen fleeing on foot. The suspect males were seen entering garages in the area and were picked up by the RCMP a short distance away.

RCMP say it was determined the truck was stolen and two males, aged 39 and 34 are facing Criminal Code charges for Dangerous driving, possession of stolen property over $5000, failing to remain at the scene of the collision, break and enter, mischief and breaching court orders.

As charges have yet to be made official, no names are being released at this time. The two men will be held pending hearings before a Justice of the Peace.
