The Bear Valley Rescue is holding an important fundraiser this Saturday to help feed over 150 horses in their care.

The not-for-profit charitable organization is holding a Tack and Yard Sale on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Available for purchase is a huge selection of new and used tack available, including English and western saddles, apparel, blankets, reins, saddle pads, brushes, boots, wraps, halters, bridles, bits, books, and more.

As well, there are door prizes, raffles, 50-50 draw, and you're welcome to drop off bottles and cans.

Guided tours will be offered, and they'll be fun for the entire family.

Right now, the price of feed and hay is escalating, making this fundraiser extremely important.

"With hay being so expensive, we want to make sure we have enough hay for the horses in the winter," explains Dani Hurtado, a volunteer at the rescue. "So it will definitely help us get there, and it will help us maintain the horses and keep accepting them, too."

The rescue has been saving unwanted horses since 2003.

It's is located northwest of Cremona, about 45 minutes from Cochrane, on Range Rd. 60 in Mountain View County.
