Expedia is out with a list of Canada's top 20 friendliest cities and towns.
But unfortunately Cochrane didn't make the cut.
Two of our neighbouring towns did though, Canmore and Banff.
Drumheller also made the list for Alberta.
The travel company compiled the listed based on regions that had the highest mentions of 'friendly, friendliest, amiable,' and other word associations" in reviews by travellers between January of 2019 and December of 2020.
Obviously these people have never travelled to Cochrane. We should be number one on this list. You can't step foot on a sidewalk or a pathway in this town without someone stopping to say hi. It's just one of the million reasons Cochrane is the friendliest & the best town.
Here's the full list:
- Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia
- Digby, Nova Scotia
- Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario
- Baddeck, Nova Scotia
- Drumheller, Alberta
- Saint John, New Brunswick
- Gatineau, Quebec
- Thunder Bay, Ontario
- Banff, Alberta
- Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
- Whistler, British Columbia
- Osoyoos, British Columbia
- La Malbaie, Quebec
- Nanaimo, British Columbia
- Mont-Tremblant, Quebec
- St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador
- Gananoque, Ontario
- Canmore, Alberta
- Stratford, Ontario
- Fernie, British Columbia
My best guess as to why Cochrane didn't make the list... must be a technical glitch.
