Searching for ways to feel your absolute best?

Elevate, Cochrane's annual wellness conference is returning this weekend for it's sixth year, and is full of many offerings that are sure to suit your needs.

Marni Richelle McConnach, Elevate’s Founder and Co-Organizer for 2023 said the event is about experiencing different wellness businesses that you might not normally experience.

"You might have your favourite gym, or you might have your favourite spin studio but maybe you haven't explored outside of that. So this is an opportunity to get a little surface sampling, or a class, or a workshop, or a seminar to find out who else could be in your wellness community."

"People feel really connected. They feel like they wouldn't have met the people that they met otherwise, so that's really special. A lot of bonds between businesses happen, so it's very collaborative."

Event goers will have the change to explore a wide array of offerings. ‘Making your own Elderberry Syrup for Immune Health’ at Two Pharmacy, a sound therapy class with clinical hypnotherapy with Wave Craft, a seminar ‘Chaos into Clarity: Tending our wound when loving hurts’ with Still Lake Listening, one-on-one service sessions of Massage, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Fascial Stretch Therapy at West Valley Chiropractic - and much more. There is truly something for everyone!

Co-Organizer, Kailey Mitchell said one of the best parts is, you get to control how the day will look.

"When you buy your ticket you build your own schedule, you get an app. You get to go in and choose which seminars or workshops you'd like to go to, of if there's a service sampling, so you could have a 30 minute massage, and then you could go to a seminar after that, and then you could go and make intention bracelets. We've got them all around town."

The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with guest speakers sharing stories at We Are Cochrane at Found Book & Shop.

A portion of ticket sales goes to a local cause each year. This year, $5 from each ticket sold will be donated to the Meira Memorial Fund, in memory of local resident Lindsay Sine, in support of women’s mental health.

The event is set to go on Sunday, Oct. 1. More information about Elevate can be found HERE.
