With four of the five teams representing different Cochrane neighborhoods, it was Downtown vs. Sunset in the opening game. Downtown won.
Besides those two, the River Heights and Fireside neighbourhoods have teams and there's one representing UFEA.
An opening ceremony was held for the first venture of the Cochrane chapter of the United Filipino Entrepreneurs Association (UFEA), with an opening address from president Honey Fe Madrid. UFEA Alberta chair Bojo Bautista spoke, the oath of sportsmanship was led by Eric Marfil and Edsel Madrid laid out the rules.
It was major sponsor Bella Amangyen, owner of BellaLife Financial, who did the ceremonial toss.
