A few days ago we received a message from Roberta Avery Gibbons, a Cochrane resident for over 50 years, asking if we could help her out with spreading some joy around town. Roberta had purchased several $50 gift cards from our Grab A Gift Card promotion and wanted to be sure that those gift cards got to people in town that could use a little help right now. Of course, we knew exactly where to go.
Jumping in our CochraneNow cruiser like a summer-time Santa, we made three stops in Cochrane to make sure that these gift cards didn’t go to waste.
The first stop was Big Hill Haven Women’s Shelter, where the gift cards will go a long way to helping families here in Cochrane.
The second stop was at The Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area for a family to be able to go for a night out at the movies or for teens to snag some delicious pizza.
Last, but certainly not least, we finished our adventure at The Cochrane Food Bank, where The Cochrane Activettes will pass along the gift cards to someone who can really use them.
Huge shout-out to not only Roberta for her wonderful donation but and all the wonderful organizations here in Cochrane that make helping people their top priority.
