The top two teams in the Heritage Junior Hockey League face off tonight in the Cochrane Arena.

Gens fans will get their first glimpse of the undefeated Okotoks Bisons in their first game here this season. They've bumped heads twice this season, both times in Okotoks.

Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Both teams are coming off a win last night.

Gen Alex Bend scored the game-winner in a 5-4 win over the Sylvan Lake Wranglers on the road. The teams were tied 4-4 after two before Bend scored halfway through the third from Dagen Kadlec and Caden Stephenson.

It was a two-goal night for red-hot rookie Logan Paquette, scoring the first from linemates Tristan Ripplinger and Patrick Forde and the other from defenceman Brendon Thubron. Zac Fulton and Patrick Forde rounded out the scoring.

A goal by Caden Scott with less than two minutes remaining lifted the Bisons to a 4-3 win over the Coaldale Copperheads at home.

Not much time was spent in the sin box in either of those games, and we'll see if that's the case again tonight because it's a contrast to what has occurred between the Gens and Bisons so far this season. in their first two meetings, a total of 223 minutes in penalties were assessed; 114 for the Gens and 109 for the Bisons.

Forde continues to lead the league in scoring with 16 goals and has an equal number of assists for 32 points.
