It's the Cochrane Generals versus the Rocky Rams in the north division semi-finals of the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

The best-of-seven series opens Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. in the Cochrane Arena. Cochrane hosts Game Three on Saturday.

Before the puck drops, HJHL league president Ian Hall will be presented Gens Captain Patrick Forde with the HJHL's MVP award.

The Rocky Rams defeated the Sylvan Lake Wranglers in a nail-biter of a three-game series that went the limit. The Rams won the opener 6-3 on the road. The next two went into double overtime, with the Wranglers winning 4-3 in Game Two and the Rams advancing with a 5-4 win last night.

The Gens have won all four games against the Rams this season, earning shutouts on two of them.

Playoffs are a brand new lease on life, though, and no team can be taken for granted. The Rams went into their series the underdog, as did the Airdrie Techmaton Thunder, who beat the Mountainview Colts two games straight.
