The Bow Valley Grizzlies remain undefeated with just one game remaining in the regular season and have firmed up a spot in the southern Alberta championship game.

The Grizz won their scheduled Aug. 26 game against the Foothills Lions by default, leaving them undefeated for 11 games. The Lions were too short of manpower for the game and was marked as a 20-0 win for Bow Valley.

The Grizz now get the long weekend off before hosting the regular season finale against the Calgary Hornets on Sept. 9. We get to enjoy that game here in Cochrane at Mitford Park.

Bow Valley has the only perfect record in the senior men's recreational league and is on track to play in the championship game on Sept. 16 at the Calgary Rugby Park. If successful, they will advance to the provincial final.
