Alberta residents looking to buy new energy efficient home appliances and products can look forward to saving some money on their purchases.

As part of the Alberta Government's Residential Energy Saving iniatitives, the Residential Retail Products Program will be launching on March 27.

This program offers point of purchase rebates to consumers when they are purchasing energy efficient household prodcuts from participating retailers.  

Cameron Westhead, Banff-Cochrane MLA, says  "the point of sale program where folks can get rebates at retail outlets when they are purchasing things like LED lights and energy efficient appliances."

Refrigerators, washers, windows, thermostats and LED light bulbs are just a few of the items where money can be saved at the point of purchase.
