Cochrane Home Treasures continues to give back to the community.

The nonprofit second-hand thrift store is providing funding for an upcoming Search and Rescue Manager Course for Cochrane Search and Rescue (CSAR).

"We will be a running a Search Manager Initial Response course this fall to train our new search managers on the methods and procedures needed to run a search from first contact with the tasking agency through to the completion of the search. The skills learned in this course are key to the successful deployment of resources and the planning and execution of those resources when we are deployed." reads a statement on the Cochrane Search and Rescue Facebook page.

Cochrane Search and Rescue said it would not be able to run the course without the support of Cochrane Home Treasures.

So far in 2023, Cochrane Home Treasures has offered free public skating at SLS Centre. A free public swim is set to go this long weekend thanks to the non profit. And hundreds of Cochranites have enjoyed a free community movie at the Cochrane Movie House and are set to enjoy more movies in the coming months.
