There were a lot of question marks heading into the summer months on whether or not The Cochrane Farmer's Market could grace Cochranites for the 2020 summer season.

A couple of months into the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers were able to adapt and set forth plans to transform the popular Cochrane summer staple "Market at the Ranche" to "Market by the Bow."

The Market was moved from its home at the Ranche House and on June 6th set up shop at the Spray Lakes Saw Mills Family Sports Centre parking lot for the season.

The new spacious location proved to meet the challenges presented by COVID-19 allowing shoppers and vendors to have appropriate spacing and meet AHS safety standards.

While many of those social elements we have all come to enjoy on a typical Saturday outing to the market didn't take place this year, the same homegrown, local products that we love and look forward to were all on hand.

There are just two weekends left to visit Market by the Bow at the SLS parkinglot before they wrap up the season on September 26.

The market runs from 9 am - 2 pm, on Saturdays, with the first hour designated for the safety and convenience of seniors in the community and as always, admission is free.
