The annual Cochrane Labour Day Parade registration is now open.

The price to enter the parade is $125 for commercial vehicles and business.

This will be the second post-pandemic parade after having a full one last year.

Event Coordinator with the Cochrane & Area Events Society Kailey Mitchell says that the organizers are doing things somewhat differently this year.

"The parade marshal is usually chosen by the committee. This year we're actually going to let the community make that decision so people can submit a nomination for the parade marshal this year, which will open it up to, different groups, different organizations, different people in the community that we might not be aware of yet, so I think that's exciting."

The event society is also placing a call out for volunteers to help keep things safe roadside, and help out in other areas of need.
