Women Empowering Women will be hosting a unique 'maker' evening.

Women are invited to create dream boards as they envision what and where they would like their future to go.

Co-organizer Mary Lou Eckmeier says putting your thoughts and dreams down can make them attainable.

"The purpose of the dream board is to put your thoughts and wishes for your future, how you see yourself, or how you would like your future to be in a visual state so you become more aware of it. If you think of it in the perspective of an artist if they always tucked their canvases into a drawer or put the clay in the closet, they stop thinking about it; so same with a dream board if you always tuck your thoughts away you won't think about it and then you won't be moving toward that goal."

The group will gather at the Cochrane Public Library for 6 pm, and find an array of magazines to peruse through.

Eckmeier feels this project is important this year as more women/families are facing more stress than normal.

"More hope, refocus, realize that life doesn't end this week , or the end of the month, or the end of the year, that it is bigger than that. Small steps forward towards those goals or how you want to see yourself."

It is the perfect project to empower women.

"It is sharing together, to build those dreams, to encourage each other to let each other know you don't have to have limitations that you deserve everything you want."

Women Empowering Women meetings are held monthly at the Cochrane Public Library, tickets are $10 and open to all. For more information on the group you will find it here.
