It seems stations are getting an early start on raising the price at the pumps ahead of the summer season.

As of Wednesday, March 29, increases have been noted in Cochrane and Calgary.

While some stations in Cochrane remain at $1.31.9 per litre, some have already jumped to $1.40.9.

According to Gas Buddy, today's price is nowhere near the record highs seen last year but in today's economy, it is a tough pill to swallow all the same.

This time last year, consumers were paying around $1.66 per litre which continued to rise to $1.89 in June 2022.
