Readers and book collectors will be able to choose from thousands of books at this weekend's two-day book sale.

Chantal Barber, chair of the Friends of the Cochrane Public Library Society said this is their first big fundraising venture post-Covid.

"We are wanting to fundraise $10,000 to support the library in securing new technology. Monique, who is the Library Director has identified that their technology is outdated and was due to be replaced in 2021, and unfortunately due to Covid, our fundraising was a little bit down."

Book lovers will have plenty of options to choose from Barber said.

"It is massive, and a big thank you to our former chair Peter for doing the book pick ups every week for the last three or four months, because we have pallets and pallets of books in storage for this massive book sale."
