Local act, Patchwork Yak swung by the 91.5FM CochraneNow studio to rock their original song 'Jalopy'.

Murray Fitch, Suzi Martin, and Erik Smistad make up a band that is truly a little bit of everything.

Patchwork Yak is three friends whose a mixture of folk, country, and a bit of rock is thrown in on as many instruments as we can get on a stage at one time,” explains Murray.

We write songs that are funny, we write songs that are political, we write songs that are heartbreaking and we are really all over the map which is hence the patchwork part,” Suzi follows up.

The trio has gained steam since releasing an EP album 'Heard Immunity' featuring six original songs.

"If you come to our show, you'll get good lyrics, they may be silly, but they're going to be tight.” laughs Murray. “You're going to get energy, we're going to try and lift you up and drop you to the floor and lift you up again and make you smile, make you cry.”

"If we can do all that, then we've had a successful show.”
