Tragedy along Highway 22, near Sunset last night.

Cochrane RCMP along with other emergency crews responded to a collision on Highway 22, just north of the 22/1A intersection, near Sunset Boulevard, at around 5:30 p.m.

The road was shut down in both directions as the RCMP and collision analysts investigated what happened.

Traffic was being rerouted into Sunset Ridge.

Mounties confirm it was a fatal collision.
