The Cochrane and Area Hospice Society will be holding a Remembrance Tree Celebration Saturday, November 30 from 12 noon to 2 pm. It will be held at the Historic Cochrane Ranche Site Clubhouse.

For a donation, your loved one can be remembered on the “Remembrance Tree”. A white light on the tree will be changed to a coloured light to shine throughout all of December.

Your loved one's name will also be added to the “Remembrance Book” and read out at the celebration.

Sandra Scott, from the Hospice Society says that during the holiday season, dealing with the loss of a loved one can be very difficult.

"So we want to make it a celebration of your loved one and a time to remember instead of being a sad time."

The celebration will be held outside so please dress for the weather. There will be a bonfire and refreshments will be served inside the Club House after the celebration.

The Cochrane Music Society’s River Reeds will be providing music for the celebrationIf you would like to register for the event you can do so by emailing info@cochranehospicesociety.ca but drop in visitors are more than welcome.
