The Town of Cochrane is helping you decorate your tree this season.

As part of a fundraising campaign, ceramic tree decorations have been hand crafted by local artists.

Nicole Snider, owner of Saffron Collective Studios, says the work of roughly ten local Saffron members came up with the 'Rock the Waves' ornament.

"The concept itself wasn't that complicated; it was making sure the colours right, making sure it didn't wash out the design, making sure it made the imprint of Rock the Waves insignia (that logo) really pop and stand out."

Snider says while the group hasn't done a project like this before they would be open to doing another community initiative again.

You can get your very own Rock the Waves ornament at Cochrane Light Up on November 19, for $10, with all proceeds going directly towards Cochrane's new aquatic and curling centre.
