Rocky View Schools has made the call on whether or not students can have outdoor recess today.

“Schools with a high risk of air quality will have indoor activities” reads a statement from RVS.

A Special Air Quality Statement is in effect and children exposed to the wildfire smoke may experience symptoms such as increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches or shortness of breath. Children with lung diseases, such as asthma and COPD, can be particularly sensitive to air pollution.
