The Rocky View Jr. B Silvertips lost a pair of games in their northern swing this weekend but still remain in first in the central division of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

In their 13-7 win on June 22, the St. Albert Crude had a three-goal edge after one, then stymied the Tips offence in the second to take a 9-3 lead into the third. The two teams exchanged four goals each in the final stanza.

Matthew Dyck had a four-point night with two goals and two assists. Leading-scorer Nolan Oakey may not have scored any goals but he had a part in five goals and was the club's top point-getter in the game.  Josh Halcro scored one and assisted on three and Ryan Gulutzan scored one and assisted on another. Jordon Waddell scored the other.

Yesterday, the Tips didn't fare any better against their north division opponents. The Edmonton Warriors, who are a distant third in the north division, won 13-5

In their only game of the week, the Tips return to the SLS Family Sports Centre for a divisional matchup against the Red Deer Rampage. Game time is 8 p.m.
