Spray Park closed for the rest of summer

Unfortunate news for Cochrane families as a popular place to cool off has closed.

The Spray Park at SLS Centre has been experiencing mechanical issues for the last few weeks, which forced operators to reduce hours earlier this month. 

The decision to close the park for the season has now been made. 

"Further investigation has determined that we are experiencing significant water loss from cracked underground piping. For the safety of our guests, and to prevent further damage, we have made the difficult decision to close the Spray Park for the season effective tomorrow, Tuesday, August 22." reads a post on Facebook from the SLS Centre.

"We are hopeful the closure will enable us to remedy the issue before winter to be ready for next season. We understand the importance of this free public amenity to our community and thank you for your understanding."
