Cochranites came out in droves to the first annual CochraneNow Stampede Breakfast on Wednesday morning.

But it wasn't just the delicious pancakes and live music on their minds.

Residents made sure to bring donations for the Helping Hands Society Free Food Shed program.

April Baird, Food Security Programs Manager for the Helping Hands Society said they're grateful for the donations.

The donation bin overflowed multiple times and event goers brought cash too.

"Such a great haul of food - will make the Sheds very happy. And $316.50 in cash donations too!"
