The first significant snowfall of the season is expected to begin tonight.

The snow is expected to originate in west-central Alberta this evening and then shift eastward and southward on Monday.

Snowfall quantities will vary across the province.

Parts of southern Alberta could see between five to 15 cm of snow, with the potential for higher amounts along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains and within the mountain parks. While central Alberta is expected to only receive between two to five cm of snow.

Drivers are being reminded to adjust their habits and drive according to the road conditions.
