If you are seeking an alternative solution to balancing 'you' make sure to head to the Cochrane Lions Event Centre this Saturday (September 22).

The second annual Cochrane Mind, Body and Soul Show will be underway, featuring a unique gathering of business owners, holistic health practitioners, health/fitness experts as well as artists who will help you find your inner balance.

Deb Beynon, one of the founders and organizers of the event shares while she is still a relatively new health practitioner herself, it was her own self-journey that got her interested in creating the show. "For me, it is all about our own personal health, welfare and finding balance in our lives. None of us are against traditional medicine in any way at all but we might be able to help people find balance in areas that others can't."

Beynon shares there is no shortage of activities and services to take in and the organizing committee is really looking forward to showing off a wide range of vendors offering alternative services that are less mainstream.

There will be 55 businesses/services showcased at the show this year and more than 2/3 of those are new to the event. "We have a waiting list of 8 to 10 businesses waiting for a cancellation, it is a big event for people. They really want to be showcased and there are not enough places for them to do that."

Attendees will find energy healers, psychic mediums, essential oils, yoga practitioners, artists, jewellery, and some very unique readers. "We have a face reader, a signature reader where you sign your name and they can read you through your signature...there are so many cool things."

Not all vendors will be offering services, some businesses will be on site just displaying what they offer within our community. "We have got equine therapists, people advertising happiness and holistic workshops, authors from two or three different books, and the fellow who designed our beautiful logo will be there with all of his artwork."

The Mind, Body and Soul Show will run from 10 am to 4 pm and is free to attend, however, some vendors may charge for services they are offering at their booths

Although there is no entrance fee, Beynon, shares donations will be gladly accepted and some raffle draws will be offered with all proceeds (after expenses) going towards the up and coming women's emergency shelter, Big Hill Haven.
