The Filipino Association of Cochrane Alberta raised the Philippines Flag today at the Cochrane RancheHouse to mark the start of their celebration today.
It's Alberta Filipino Heritage Month and Cochrane's vibrant Filipino community continues to celebrate the occasion with a celebration at the Cochrane Ranche Historic Site.
A Filipino Family Picnic and salute to our seniors follows at the Cochrane Ranche Historic Site at 11 a.m. It involves several local agencies and organizations. It also is the final event of Seniors Week in Cochrane.
Musicians accompanied singer Steve Dayao in performing the Philippines national anthem and a select number of other Filipino songs.
