Figure skaters with the Cochrane Skating Club competed in the South Region Open Competition in Medicine Hat February 3-5.

Roughly 350 skaters from all over Southern Alberta competed in the competion and Cochrane participants had some outstanding results.

Star 5 under 13 program- Taylor Kaarto- 4th

Star 5 over 13 program- Ainsley Prokopow- 3rd

Star 8 program- Mairyn Dumanowsi- 3rd

Gold Freeskate- Sydney Perron- 1st

Bronze Interpretive: Ainsley Prokopow- 2nd and Taylor Kaarto- 3rd

Next up the Cochrane Skating Club will head to Rocky Mountain House on February 24 to 26.
