The Nanette Dupont Rink, of Lethbridge, came out on top in last weekend's Ladies Bonspiel of the Cochrane Curling Club.

Dupont, along with third Samantha Davies, second Kendra Nakagama and lead Avice Dekelver won in the final against the Cochrane/Airdrie rink of Jessica Wytrychowski.

The 'B' event was won by the Deana Jensen Rink, of Cremona. The Cindy Mintenko-Blackman Rink, of Cochrane, won the 'C' event and Henrietta Dyck's rink, also of Cochrane, won the 'D' event.The Nanette Dupont Rink, from Lethbridge, won the 'A' event. (Photo Courtesy Lynda Sweet)

A record 32 teams participated in the bonspiel that had a Mexican Fiesta theme for its fun activities and Saturday night banquet.

"Aside from a great curling experience, we had a Saturday evening banquet and games night with a Mexican Fiesta theme," says Lark Balmer, communications/PR chair of the curling club.  "There was a lot of laughter and fellowship.  We had raffle prizes, a silent auction and a lot of fun and games."

Finalists from each of the four events:

'A' Event winner: Skip Nanette Dupont, third Samantha Davies, second Kendra Nakagama, lead Avice Dekelver (Lethbridge)

Second: Skip Jessica Wytryschowski, third Olivia Jones, second Zoe Cinnamon, lead Emily Kiist (Cochrane/Airdrie)

'B' Event winner: Skip Deana Jensen, third Cheryl Seaborg, second Laurie Blundell, lead Marg Bergsma (Cremona)

Second, Skip Sandy Woltas, third Val Murray, second  Marilyn Doble, lead Maria Mravinec (Cochrane)

'C' Event winner: Slip Cindy Mintenko-Blackman, third Mona Troyer, second Donna Hall, lead Darcie Johnston (Cochrane)

Second: Slip Alicia Brooks, third Cheryl Whittal, second Heather Craig, lead Lynda Ward (Cochrane)

'D' Event winner: Skip Henrietta Dyck, third Kimberly Wheelans, second Jayne Moffat, lead Lorraine Romain (Cochrane)

Second: Skip Anne Kelly, third Lyn McKeemar, second Jocelyn Frankow, lead Lorraine Olsen (Inglewood)
