According to a press release by RVS, as of Wednesday, 98.1 per cent of staff have provided proof of immunization through a required attestation form or have committed to rapid testing.

Of the 2,880 active employees in RVS, 2,721 (94.5 per cent of current active employees) are fully immunized and 103 (3.5 per cent of current active employees) will routinely provide a negative rapid test.

Fifteen staff holding positions (0.5 per cent of current active employees) are being placed on unpaid leave as they are not intending to comply with the requirement or have not completed the attestation.

Three individuals (0.1 per cent of current active employees) have resigned. 38 substitute teachers or casual support staff (1.3 per cent of current active employees) are deactivated from working after the winter break as they have not completed their attestation or have stated they do not intend to comply.

The press release goes onto say, "Thank you to the vast majority of staff who have fulfilled the requirements of AP173 which was put in place in response to the government’s request of school jurisdictions and in support of our commitment to measures that reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 in our schools."
