Elite Cochrane ball player Simon Baker is back in the Dominican Republic with Canada's junior national ball team for the Dominican Professional Academy Camp, May 13-21.

At the camp, the Canadian team is playing 13 professional games, five single game days and four double-headers.

Dominican Republic is home to the vast majority of the 30 Major League Baseball clubs’ player development academies. The Canadian team is touring pro academies of the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, and San Diego Padres organizations.

Last November, Baker committed to the Gonzaga Bulldogs in NCAA Div. 1 baseball in the West Coast Conference.
