Cochrane students will have the chance to learn about higher education at an upcoming post secondary fair put on BGC of Cochrane and Area.

Jessica Carroll, youth outreach & reconciliation worker at The CLUB says there will be several Alberta post-secondary schools in attendance.

"Mount Royal, the University of Calgary, Bow Valley College, Concordia University, the University of Lethbridge and SAIT.  We're going to have some snacks and drinks. The schools will be there with some swag and resources and it's an opportunity for the young people to explore options to further their education and career goals."

"The schools will be set up at different tables. They will be there to explain the different programs that they offer. How and when to apply to those programs and tips on how to apply for scholarships and other financing options."

This is being held through one of their programs called Learn On says Carroll, "It's a program offered on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. where you can come and get academic support, life transitions and social and emotional wellbeing support after school."

Carroll says the event is drop-in and it's open to anyone and people of all ages.

"It's never too late to go back to school and switch up your career if you'd like."

The event goes on February 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Station.
