The Cochrane Chaos have home ice advantage in their AJFHL south division semifinal series against the Calgary Titans that kicks off tonight (Feb. 16) at 7:15 p.m. in the SLS Centre.

The Chaos dominated in the regular season against all their south division opponents but aren't about to take a win for granted. The Titans finished at the bottom of the division with just 10 wins in 26 games and half the points of the Chaos.

But they did take the Chaos into overtime earlier this season, points out Chaos head coach Derek Loomer, and says they need to be on top of their game. He says Titan goalie Rebecca Boswell can be a game changer.

"She's good enough that she can really make it a challenge for us," says Loomer. "Even if we get lots of shots, she could stand on her head and win a game for them. So, we have to be prepared to go. hard to the net, get lots of traffic, lots of shots, and battle hard to get rebounds."

He says the Chaos is fired up for playoffs and are eager to once again sip from the AJFHL championship trophy.

"When you've done it once, it just makes you hungrier to do it again. I'm looking forward to getting our top line up on the ice, turning them loose and seeing what they can do."

The second game of the best-of-three series is Saturday afternoon at WinSport D. If necessary, the series returns to Totem One on Feb. 24.
