Cochrane Fair Rundown

There is no shortage of activities for community members to partake in as the Cochrane Fair kicks off tomorrow (August 16).

Gates to the seventh annual fair open at 4 in the afternoon at the Cochrane AG Grounds, and with there being so much to see and do, we thought we would provide a quick rundown of must-see/must-do events.

From professional wrestling to the world’s best bull riders, you may want to grab your ticket early to avoid disappointment.

The 19th annual Cochrane Classic Bull Riding is this Saturday (August 17) night.

The weekend will feature numerous vendors selling their wares at the marketplace to zucchini races at the 51^stannual Bearspaw Old Tyme Bench Exhibition. Working hard to always bring new components to the fair each and every year, the Cochrane Fair Committee is hoping all community members will have a great time.

Timeline:

August 16-

Mutton busting 5 p.m.
Mini Chuckwagon Races 6 p.m.
Motorcycle Stunt Shows 4:30, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.
SPECIAL EVENT: Canadian Wrestling's Elite Pro Wrestling Event Meet and Greet 7 bells with wrestling beginning at 8. DJ and Beer Gardens to follow.

August 17-

Mutton Busting 11 a.m.
Mini Chuckwagon Races Noon
Native dancers 1 p.m.
NIKOLAI Circus Show 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. with Circus Play Shop at 4:30 p.m
Bearspaw Bench Show Viewing and Demos 1-4 p.m.
Reptile Show 1:30 p.m.
President's Choice Super Dogs 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30
SPECIAL EVENT: Cochrane Classic Bullriding Gates open at 6 p.m. with the opening ceremony at 6:45. Dance the night away with the Blake Reid Band beginning at 9:30 p.m.
