Victoria's Westshore Rebels are heading to the Canadian Bowl of the Canadian Junior Football League against the Saskatoon Hilltops.

The Rebels recovered from an eight-point deficit in the first half to beat the Okanagan Sun, 33-19, and win the B.C. Conference Cullen Cup. They were denied the title last year after being shut out 38-0 by the Sun.

It's the first time to Rebels have advanced to the national championship in 2016 when they hosted and lost to the Saskatoon Hilltops.

They'll be facing those same Hilltops this time around at Starlight Stadium. Yesterday (Oct. 29), Saskatoon shut out Ontario's St. Clair Saints, 43-0. Cochrane O-lineman Leighten Boynton was in his first year with the Saints.

Cochrane Cobra alumni Ethan Pickard, Ty Metcalfe, and Shane Clazie are all members of the Westshore Rebels.
