Thanksgiving is a time of family, friends, and good meals and The Crossing at Ghost River is making sure no one misses out. They are selling fresh, pumpkin cheesecakes to provide free meals to those in need this season. For a minimum donation of $30 per cake, the funds raised will go towards buying ingredients for meals that will be donated to Helping Hands in Cochrane and charities in Calgary.

General manager Jori Guetg says that it is important that everyone gets a good meal this Thanksgiving. “We really wanted to try and see how many meals we can provide this Thanksgiving for charity. We want to share the good fortune we’ve had with those less fortunate”

This is far from the first time The Crossing at Ghost River has held an initiative to provide meals to those in need. So far they have provided 1,200 meals,1,200 one-liter containers of soup, 265 single food hamper, and 20 five-person food hampers.

The cheesecakes are almost totally sold out, if you are interested in purchasing one, you can contact The Crossing at Ghost River at info@crossingexperience.ca or 403-932-3392 to place your order.
