Cochrane RCMP is hoping someone recognizes a light coloured truck that was seen stopped at Fas Gas on Sunday (November 11).

Constable Kary Moore shares RCMP has obtained pictures which place the truck at the Cochrane gas station between 5 and 5:45 pm and they are interested in speaking to the driver or owner of the vehicle. "We believe the driver of this vehicle gave a ride to a female wearing a white winter coat who is now a subject in an ongoing investigation."

While Constable Moore could not give any additional information as to what they were working on or how the female is connected, she did say they just need to speak to them. "When we have somebody of interest that we would like to get some information from or find out what their involvement was, maybe they saw something that they didn't realize was important at the time, it is just basic policing. We just want to know what this driver saw and what they know."

The truck in question is described as white or beige with decals down the side. If you recognize the vehicle in question or know the driver, you are asked to contact Constable DeThomasis with the Cochrane detachment at 403-851-8000.

Constable Moore says they value the relationship they have with the residents of Cochrane who continue to provide them with tips or sightings of things that just don't appear 'quite right'. "It's an extremely large detachment area in Cochrane and the police can't be on every corner, as much as we would like to be. So we do rely on the public to call in any suspicious behaviour and anything that looks out of the normal.
