Last election the Frank Wills Memorial Hall, 405 1st St. E., was packed and you can expect no less at the East End forum being held this Friday Oct. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Igor Visser, chair of the Cochrane East Settlement Community, is moderating the event and says you don't have to be an East Ender to participate.

For the 2013 election he said the hall was full and was impressed with how many people take interest in the municipal election.

Mayor and council candidates will have one minute allotted to introduce themselves before being asked a series of three prepared questions. One deals with noise, another with environmental issues and the last gives candidates a chance to discuss the East Cochrane neighbourhood plan and development pressures they foresee in the area.

Afterwards, people will be able to ask questions on any burning election issues. Written questions will be collected at the forum.

This is the fourth candidates forum hosted by the neighbourhood over the years.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

For those unable to attend, CochraneNow will be live streaming the forum on its Facebook page.
