No pancake breakfast is complete without the sound of live country music.

Cochranites are in for a treat this morning when Jeremy Dallas takes the stage at the first-ever CochraneNow Stampede Pancake Breakfast.

Dallas said he's no stranger to the stage. He started playing cover songs 25-years ago when he was just 11-years-old.

"I've kind of grown by craft over that time and developed, and then I started writing my own music and kind of slowly starting putting it out over the last few years. We've put out a few singles and got some traction with that, now we're taking that next step and jumping back into the studio. We just got a full album done, now we're doing the music videos and all the promotion."

He writes his own music and teams up with others for some songs.

"We've got a few that are coming out that are pretty personal to me and it's kind of the first bit of insight into my life, which is pretty exciting to share with the world, but also pretty of scary. It's kind of like putting your baby out into the world and expecting everyone to think it's beautiful."

The Calgarian has spent lots of nights playing for Cochranites "I've played the old hotel, many, many, many times. I think the first time was back in 2005."

Dallas will take to the Dave Moore Transport and recovery stage from 9 - 11 a.m.

Cochranites are asked to bring a food donation to support The Helping Hands Free Food Shed.

Members from the Cochrane Lions Club will be flipping pancakes at the CochraneNow Stampede Breakfast that goes from 8 - 11 a.m. in the Old Northstar Ford Parking Lot along Railway St.
