All thanks to Mother Nature, both Rocky View County (RVC) and Cochrane residents can once again enjoy a campfire.

Due to improving conditions, the Town of Cochrane along with County fire services has lifted the fire advisories which were put in place last week.

In a release from the Town of Cochrane, officials say with the cooler temperatures and precipitation in our forecast the Fire Advisory will be lifted as of noon, August 23, 2021.

Effective immediately, there are no fire advisories or bans within Rocky View County, and permit burning is once again allowed.

RVC is cautioning that there may still be advisories or bans in neighbouring municipalities and they are reminding residents to continue to follow safe burning practices.
