Both Cochrane and Bow Valley High have senior basketball teams advancing to the Rocky View divisional semifinals on Thursday.

A decisive 96-74 win over the Bow Valley Bobcats last night (Feb. 27) punched the ticket for the Cochrane High senior boys basketball team. Across town the same night, it was the senior girls Bobcats over the Cobras, 57-54.

The Cobras senior boys face the George McDougall Mustangs, who had an identical 40-2 record on the regular season. The Cobras lost 98-90 to the Mustangs in their second game of the season.

The Bobcats will be challenging the undefeated Springbank Phoenix. During the regular season, the Bobcats only lost by four points to the Phoenix.

Bow Valley High School will be hosting both divisional gold medal games on Mar. 2.

High school basketball continues next week with the ASAA South Central Zone championships. Winning teams will advance to provincials being hosted by Strathmore High from Mar. 14 to 16.
